Yesterday at the 2015 Iowa State Fair Open Simmental Show, history was made. With a record high of 488 Simmental cattle exhibited, making it the largest halter show ever held in the United States since Simmental cattle came into this country.
Dean Drummond, Simmental Supervisor for the Iowa State Fair had a few words after the show.
“I would like to thank everyone who was involved in helping break records in the Simmental breed at the Iowa State Fair this year. To Judge Steve Reimers for the most professional job possible from start to finish. To my exhibitors I want to thank you for your conduct, sportsmanship, and attitude in helping make this show the best ever. It is a pleasure to work with you all.
