The Regional and National Classic entry deadline has been extended to June 1. All exhibitors can enter all Classics until June 1, for a $50 late fee. Online entry is available at Herdbook.org.
In addition, the 2017 Regional and National Classic rules had a misprint regarding the cow/calf pair rule. The rule (Section IX, #3) had stated that all calves on the side of cows have to be born between January 1 – March 15, 2017. The correction to the rule reads: “All cows must have a calf-at-side born on or after November 1, 2016.” Any junior who did not enter a cow/calf pair in the Regional or National Classics due to the previous rule, but qualifies for the current rule, and would like to enter, needs to contact Emily Lochner by June 1 to add the pair at no late fee charge.
