Remembering Todd Hensley

George “Todd” Hensley passed away peacefully early Sunday, March 22, 2015, following a brief bout with an aggressive cancer. He was surrounded by family & friends who saw him jovial to the end.
Todd was blessed with a wit that is exceptionally rare. He never failed to transform the mundane into a memorable occasion. His countless hilarious stories punctuated by his infectious, ridiculous laugh are forever etched in the memories of those who were lucky enough to have known him. His incredible personality made him a natural salesman in the software industry by day, but he was a cowboy at heart and happiest when working on his ranch.
Todd graduated Tipton High School in 1985, where he was active in 4-H and FFA. Todd attended Purdue University and Oklahoma State University, where he was member of the OSU Livestock judging team and won a national title in 1990. Todd later became a proud member of the Ovid Masonic Lodge #164 F. & A.M.
Todd took every opportunity to teach young people in his own ever-colorful way. Todd was the Director of Field Alliances & Channels for Damballa Software and had over 25 years’ experience in sales. Prior to joining Damballa, he was the Director of Alliances at McAfee and spent 10 years working at HP Software, where he held several different sales positions. It’s safe to say that his departure will send ripples through the community.
He was preceded in death by his father George Merrill Hensley. Todd is survived by his ever-loving mother Mary Ann Hensley; sister Kimberly Ann Poland; cousin Monty “Bird” Hensley; the true lights of his life, his sons Kale Joseph Hensley and Nash Merrill Hensley; and close friends.
Calling will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel. A Celebration of Life gathering will be start at noon June 6 at Todd’s farm.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Johns Hospital in Anderson for their care of his suffering and kindness shown to the crowds allowed to say their goodbyes to their beloved friend.
Online condolences can be made at www.wilsonstpierre.com.
